COMPETITION General Rules: Modified USA Hockey rules apply. For a complete set of rules, see the Games Adult Hockey rules. Commissioners reserve the right to adjust the class level of a team. All players must show driver's license for proof of age. Individuals currently on WIAA/WISAA school hockey teams are ineligible. No checking, slap shots or fighting. If we do not get enough teams for a viable division, commissioner reserves the right to divide teams into two separate divisions based on average age. Please call commissioners with division questions. WISCONSIN, MINNESOTA, MICHIGAN AND ILLINOIS RESIDENTS ONLY. All out of state teams will be placed on a waiting list until December 1, 2010. Governing Body: USA Hockey, WAHA Format: Three 12-minute periods, stop time. Definitions & Divisions:(Age determined as of January 21, 2011) Open- Players 18 years & older who have not competed in college or professional hockey within one year of the Badger State Winter Games. Senior- Players 30 years and older. Roster may include a goalie as young as 25. Master- Players 40 years and older. Roster may include a goalie as young as 35. Grand Master- Players must be at least 50 years of age at the time of the tournament. Goalies may be as young as 40. Any player younger than 50 that was on the roster the previous year is still eligible to play. Equipment: Goalies must wear HECC-approved helmet with mask. Helmets are required and face masks are highly recommended for all players in the Men's divisions. | ||||
