Each team will pay a fee of $440 plus a per player fee based on the entry deadlines described below.

COMPETITION
General Rules:
Modified USA Hockey rules apply. For a complete set of rules, see the Games Adult Hockey rules. Commissioners reserve the right to adjust the class level of a team.

All players must show WI driver's license for proof of age. Individuals currently in the Great Lakes Hockey League or on WIAA/WISAA school hockey teams are ineligible. No checking, slap shots or fighting. If we do not get enough teams for a viable division, commissioner reserves the right to divide teams into two separate divisions based on average age. Please call commissioners with division questions.

WISCONSIN RESIDENTS ONLY.

Format:
Three 12-minute periods, stop time.
Definitions & Divisions:
Men (Age determined as of February 8, 2009)
The first two divisions of eight teams and the first two divisions of six teams will be accepted.
Open - Players 21 years & older who have not competed in college or professional hockey within one year of the Badger State Winter Games.
Master - Players 40 years and older. Roster may include a goalie as young as 35.
Grand Master- All players must be at least 50 years of age at the time of the tournament. Goalies may be as young as 40. Any player younger than 50 that was on the roster the previous year is still eligible to play.

Women (Age determined as of February 8, 2009)
Open - Players must be at least 18 years of age. Entries are limited.
Collegiate - Players must be at least 18 years of age and currently registered in college. Entries are limited.

Equipment:
Goalies must wear HECC-approved helmet with mask. Helmets are required and face masks are highly recommended for all players in the Men's divisions. Helmets, face masks and chin straps are required in the Women's division.
